Data and Insights Hub Team

The Data and Insights Hub (DIH) Team seeks to improve the way we utilise and leverage people related data and insight as an asset across the MoJ. Our approach is to build a DIH to make data more accessible, of a higher quality and more consistent; enabling MoJ to make more informed decisions and help shape the MoJ ‘workforce of the future’, improving the employee experience and increase effective and productive delivery of service. 

The team is developing and advancing innovative solutions of how MoJ will store, process and analyse people data alongside setting up data-led culture for long term success across People Function priorities.

A critical component of this role is the active contribution toward the cross-Government Synergy Programme, managing close working relationships with the MoJ’s Data Improvement Programme.  In all of your job holder responsibilities below, you will be expected to leverage the expertise, networks and knowledge of the MoJ data community to think from a cross-government perspective in addition to the local departmental need.

The Role

The System, Product Enhancement and Continuous Improvement Lead is a key role at the centre of the Data and Insight Hub (DIH) Function, leading the implementation of the Demand Management element of the DIH Operating Model, including; the design, implementation and maintenance of system and product enhancements to enable a self-servicing Analytics and Insights approach for people information. 

We are looking for a motivated analyst to work in a challenging and exciting new team. You’ll be responsible for driving forward topics and capabilities that span across the whole of the customer experience of an array of people data products. 

Activities and projects will include; user story development, experimentation and feature testing, DIH portal development and application performance, development and upgrades. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Systems and Product Enhancement, you'll engage and coach both analytical and non-analytical teams across the Department in adopting product development Technical Standards, skills and expertise and contribute toward a data-led culture within the Chief People Officer Group.

Reporting to the Head of Data and Insights Service you will work with a broad spectrum of stakeholders across the Department, including Data Champions, Data Stewards, Justice Digital and SMEs. You will also work with business and technical stakeholders who are delivering process and technical changes to ensure that people insights and practices are a fundamental consideration for any change initiative that uses people data.

As a member of the Business Architecture and Transformation (BAT) directorate leadership cadre, you will play a key role embedding new approaches, enhancing the reputation of people-related analysis and building our capability.
