Job summary

Working in a team of enterprise and solution architects, the Solution Architect role plays a critical role in developing solutions for the organisation and supporting the developing the enterprise architecture as a product, practice and service.

You will be joining our small and friendly team, who are committed to making positive change in how Homes England delivers on its core mission of housing and regeneration and its ambitious business and technology change initiatives.

The Enterprise Architecture team are dedicated to delivering a holistic service that acts as an internal management consultancy for senior executives, Enterprise PMO and all involved in strategic planning.  Using the TOGAF framework as our starting point, part of the role will be embedding architecture as a practice, becoming a trusted advisor and using an experienced and critical eye on the organisational design direction, decisions and outcomes.

Working with key stakeholders and a professional architecture team you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective resolution of enterprise design questions supporting Homes England mission.

The role will support the design and delivery of key strategic projects across the whole organisation. There are some exciting projects to get involved with.

Person specification

You will have experience of participating in a technical design authority, where business and technology are aligned and you will have a good understanding of architecture development methods and models.

You will have worked within technology for many years but with strong and broad understanding of technical solutions and approaches, understanding the business value of technology change is your domain, alongside solid understanding of data, applications and technology.

You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an architecture team. You will enjoy working in a fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.
