The Role

We’re recruiting for a Service Standards Operations Manager  here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Central Digital team. 

At the MoJ, we use the Government service standard to help our teams deliver technical and digital products and services to a high standard. We employ service assessments at periodic times throughout the product lifecycle so that we can understand and advise teams on how they can best meet the Standard.

Justice Digital seeks to amplify the benefits of the Service standard both within and beyond Justice Digital; and to improve the value and experience of assessments across the board. The Operations Manager will join the Services standards team in working to achieve these primary outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

The Service standards team comprises of a Lead role and an Operations Manager.

The Operations manager will be expected to:

  • Manage the pipeline of service assessments within MOJ
  • Support Service teams to book and prepare for service assessments
  • Collaborate with Cabinet Office to coordinate and lead on cross government assessments
  • Support service assessors through assessments ensuring all relevant training needs are met
  • Champion the value of the Service standards framework, user-centred design and Agile beyond Justice Digital.
  • Provide assessment advice to services.
  • Organise and deliver training to assessors.
  • Capture and report key performance indicators.
  • Support the Service Standards Lead

Person Specification 

Essential

  • You have a good understanding of the Government Service standard and manual.
  • You have experience of working within a team that has delivered products and services to the service standard.
  • You have exceptional communication skills and are an effective influencer.
  • You are organised and can prioritise workload effectively.
  • You can collaborate widely and across all levels of hierarchy.
  • You are an innovator who is focused on achieving outcomes.
  • You are familiar with working with data and can present information with impact.
  • You can passionately advocate for Service standards and assessments. 

Willingness to be assessed against  the requirements for BPSS clearance.

Successful candidates who meet the required standard will then be invited to a 1-hour panel interview held via video conference.
