The Role

We’re recruiting for a Senior Technical Architect - Print here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative End User Compute Services team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in different print technologies, strategic vision and the ability to drive innovation in print services management.

This role aligns with SeniorTechnical Architect from the Government Digital and Data Framework

Key Responsibilities:

Print Technology Strategy

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for print technologies, aligning with organisational goals and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate emerging print technologies and assess their potential impact on organisational print services.

Solution Design and Implementation

  • Lead the design and implementation of print solutions, leveraging technologies from industry-leading vendors such as Xerox and Microsoft.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of print services.

Core Print Services

  • Oversee standard push and pull print services, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Optimise print infrastructure for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, including printer fleet management and driver deployment.

Bulk Print Services

  • Manage bulk print and scan services, including high-volume document processing and distribution.
  • Work with third-party vendors and departmental end users to implement workflows and automation to streamline bulk print and scan processes.

Specialised and Server Side Print Services

  • Support specialised application and server-side print services, collaborating with application teams and system administrators.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of print solutions with enterprise applications and systems.

Vendor Management and Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with print technology vendors and partners, evaluating products and services to meet organisational requirements.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Print Technology Expertise - Extensive experience in designing and implementing print solutions, with a focus on modern print technologies. Proficiency in Xerox Workspace Cloud, Microsoft Universal Print, and other print management platforms.
  • Print Services Management - Demonstrated expertise in managing standard print services, including printer fleet management, driver deployment, and print queue management. Experience in managing bulk print and scan services, with an emphasis on efficiency and automation.
  • Solution Design and Implementation - Strong ability to design and implement print solutions, considering scalability, security, and user experience. Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy print services in complex environments.
  • Vendor Management and Partnerships - Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with print technology vendors and partners. Experience in evaluating and selecting print solutions based on organisational requirements and industry trends.

At the interview, we will be assessing your technical/specialist skills and experience, testing your ability through relevant assessments and asking you questions about the behaviours we require to be successful in this role.

Throughout the process, we will assess your technical specialist skills and experience on the above requirements.

Candidates must submit both a CV and a Covering letter (max 750 words) which describes how they meet the requirements set out in the Person Specification above.
