Job description

One role will be focused on Development Finance and Structured Real Estate Finance, under government approved loan programmes administered by the Agency and the second role will focus on  Guarantees, Products, Equity and Partnerships (PEP) transactions.  The post holders will also take a broader view and  consider portfolio risks and operational risks.

Each role is an important contributor to ensuring the on-going development and enhancement of best practice risk management to support delivery of the agency's strategic objectives.  Each post holder will be a visible risk lead and a key member of the team's business partnering relationship with our internal Investment Directorate colleagues.

You will be joining our small, friendly specialist team, who are committed to delivering high standards and working in a collaborative way with Homes England colleagues, to foster good decision making and problem solving.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Risk team and help shape the future of risk management and assurance in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose.

Person specification

Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders,  you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.

Subject matter expertise is required across Lending Products assessment and/or Guarantees and Equity products, structuring, risk management and mitigation.  The post holder must be capable of evaluating a range of proposals and facility structures and providing concise risk analysis and recommendations.  You should have some experience of considering Portfolio and Operational Risks.

The role requires a high degree of technical and credit risk skills, and it is expected that the post holder will possess the capability and experience to be granted and operate within a Delegated Authority to approve transactions. As a senior Risk Manager you  will also need the skills to lead Business Partnering relationships.

You'll be comfortable supporting the Lending Product team including coaching and training and working as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing Homes England stakeholder colleagues at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a risk team.
