Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) is responsible for delivering and supporting our digital products and services across UKRI, putting users at the centre of what we build.  This role will involve working across our major digital transformation programmes and projects.

You will have a successful track-record of leading/working with product delivery teams in agile environments. You’ll be guided by the fundamental principles of putting user needs first, focusing on delivery and outcomes over process, and being open and collaborative. Success for you means supporting others to deliver to the very best of their abilities.

Job description

  • Own and manage the product vision, promoting support and buy-in across the entire organisation and its stakeholder communities as a service which meets user needs
  • Lead your agile team, empowering them to run their delivery teams 
  • Ensure your domain expertise is kept up to date by maintaining close contact with key business stakeholders across UKRI.  This includes working closely with the wider Reforming our Business and UKRI councils.
  • Work closely with technology, policy and business change teams to understand organisational constraints and how best to tackle them in order to achieve a simpler service which meets user needs

Person specification

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience 
  • Experience of product management activities and skills
  • Good financial acumen and an understanding of achieving commercial outcomes, delivering added value, understanding market and customer issues and using these to promote innovative business models. 
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships with agile project and programme teams
