Job summary

DBT’s marketing team is looking for a Senior Marketing Campaign Manager to support its award-winning and innovative UK-facing work. 

This is an exciting opportunity to be a senior manager within a dynamic and diverse team that works alongside industry leading external agencies. You will help to design, develop, implement, and evaluate innovative and creative marketing campaigns and communications strategies that have measurable impact.

Campaign activity is broad and spans above the line, below the line, PR, and low cost / no cost communications. As such, we welcome applications from candidates with experience from a range of disciplines, either agency or client side, including media planning, strategy, PR, creative, or digital.

You will be an integral part of the campaign development and delivery, as well as taking individual accountability for leading a number of projects and workstreams.

This is a small but dynamic and creative team of marketing experts that deliver DBT’s marketing campaigns. This team works collaboratively with other functions and teams in the Department to create effective campaigns that meet our objectives. This team works in a highly matrix fashion, with members based in DBT hubs across the UK.

Job description

Key responsibilities include the following:  

  • Drive effective marketing, advertising, and PR activity – identify creative solutions that attract attention, and drive audience action.
  • Engage and collaborate across teams (both within Communications and Marketing and the wider Department) to find innovative solutions to deliver, while ensuring value for money.
  • Work with third party agencies and in-house teams to produce compelling content and creative for both above the line and through the line activities. Overseeing and managing production to ensure content is engaging and delivered on time to a high standard.
  • Support campaign channel planning and budget management of multi-channel integrated campaigns.
  • Support on campaign research and insights; commission, review and analyse research activity – identifying relevant insights that can help the campaigns to successfully deliver against behaviour change objectives and/or monitoring KPIs to adapt and improve campaign performance.
  • Engage with partners and external stakeholders to maximise advocacy and leverage earned channels.
  • Engage with stakeholders across department to ensure our marketing and communications offer is tied back to business strategy. Provide advice and support to colleagues across the department on business facing messages, including locally delivered activities. 

Direct and supervise the activities of other team members to deliver against all the above.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience across one or more communication disciplines, including creative development, digital marketing, PR, advertising, and partnership marketing.
  • Analysing and synthesising insights to inform communications and marketing strategies.
  • Developing communication plans, including evaluation strategies.
  • Working with agencies to commission and deliver compelling content.
  • Implementing low cost/no cost ideas which support marketing and campaign delivery.
  • Delivering to tight deadlines and managing uncertainty and competing priorities to achieve objectives.
  • Leading internal and external teams with excellent project management skills to plan and deliver projects to a high standard.
  • Agency / supplier management.
  • Internal and external stakeholder management.
  • Line management.
