The Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) is one of the principal investigative law enforcement bodies for labour exploitation in the UK. We licence labour providers in certain employment sectors and enforce the provisions of the Gangmasters (Licensing) Act 2004. We also have powers to ensure vulnerable workers are more effectively protected from being abused for their labour, such as police-style powers of arrest, and increased powers to search for and seize evidence. The GLAA is able to investigate labour exploitation offences under National Minimum Wage, Employment Agencies as well as Modern Slavery Act.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for position of Senior Internal Communications Officer to join our Communications team.

Reporting to the Head of National Partnerships and Communications, with a dotted line responsibility to the Head of People. Working in close collaboration with the People team the role is responsible for planning, developing and delivering all internal communications, campaigns and employee engagement activity across the organisation.
