In doing so, responsibilities will include:

  • Managing compliant recruitment campaigns for CO body Chairs or Board members: setting up and running public appointment campaigns often to tight timescales.

  • Wider strategic work, for example the delivery of a diversity strategy, managing CO Appointments Team’s social media accounts and data capture and analysis.

Person specification

We are looking for a fantastic team player – kind, inclusive, and caring towards colleagues and stakeholders – with an eye for quality, continuous improvement and a strategic mindset.

You are:

  • A strategic thinker with an eye for detail.
  • Curious and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Interested in the work of Cabinet Office and our Public Bodies and keen to play a part in driving forwards Cabinet Office’s ambitious agenda.
  • Adaptable and able to handle changing priorities and to work flexibly across the team.

  • An inclusive and caring colleague who promotes the well-being of the team and colleagues/stakeholders.

  • Ability to comprehend government guidance and apply it to varied and complex challenges.
  • Excellent written communication skills and quality assurance of written outputs (both in terms of detail, e.g. spotting typos and inconsistencies; and in terms of the big picture, e.g. thinking critically about the strategic purpose and fit of written outputs).
  • Confident and capable of working closely with senior leaders, including upwards management, leading challenging conversations and maintaining positive and trusted relationships.

As a member of the Civil Service and Cabinet Office Governance Team, successful candidates will be expected to take an active corporate role in making the Governance Team the best possible place to work.
