The Role

We’re recruiting for a Reporting Lead here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Strategic Initiatives team.

You will be working alongside the multiple Project and Programme Delivery Teams and with our Digital Finance & Assurance Team, as part of the wider Technology Services Delivery Team. These teams work closely with stakeholders from right across Justice Digital, the Finance and Commercial Professions, and with other colleagues across the Ministry to support Justice Digital in delivering large scale Projects and Programmes and to support adherence to all of its financial responsibilities while driving maximum value from its budget.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with stakeholders across the organisation to co-design a sustainable reporting model;
  • Leading on the modelling of data in support of decision making

More specifically this means:

  • Developing a thorough understanding of Justice Digital’s existing financial reporting model, including the underpinning financial systems;
  • Working with internal teams to perform analysis and model scenarios which aid in decision making
  • Developing a project finance model to evaluate the feasibility of new initiatives and forecast costs
  • Relaying generated information to management and recommending action plans
  • Producing reports and presentations using digital tools and spreadsheets
  • Building excellent working relationships with stakeholders and contributing teams, becoming a trusted partner and reporting expert.
  • Ensuring the needs of users are at the heart of the process.

 Person Specification

Essential

  • Has worked as a senior member of an financial assurance function, preferably in a Digital & Technology setting;
  • Has built financial processes, reports, and dashboards;
  • Experienced with working with large datasets and solving problems;
  • Is able to draw conclusions from, and make recommendations based on, numbers and data;
  • Is comfortable presenting to, and challenging, senior stakeholders;
  • Experienced with bringing people from different teams or groups together to deliver a common objective.

Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for BPSS clearance.

Candidates must submit a CV and a statement of suitability (of no more than 750 words) which describes how you meet the requirements set out in the Person Specification above.

Candidates invited to attend an interview will be asked to deliver a 5 minute presentation on a topic to be confirmed at a later date.

A diverse panel will review your application against the Person Specification above.

Successful candidates who meet the required standard will then be invited to a 45 minute panel interview held via video conference.
