Job description

You will work closely in a small, dynamic team where you will be responsible for the upkeep of the online libraries/databases VISTA and LegStat. VISTA is a legislation database used by technical staff within the Agency and sold to customers in the automotive industry. LegStat is an online database showing the status of type approval legislation. We will also look to you to support the Legislation Team with additional tasks.

We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible individual who is customer focused. You will also undertake administrative duties such as responding to queries via telephone and emails so good communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Updating the Vista Library when there are additions or changes to GB, European and UNECE automotive Directives and Regulations.
  • Assisting Regulatory Product Supervisors with the implementation of the new legislation database.
  • Liaising with potential customers providing information identifying what VISTA and LegStat products are available and the cost• Assisting new VISTA/LegStat account holders through the set-up process.
  • Resolving VISTA/LegStat user queries.
  • Logging, acknowledging and processing End of Series Derogation and Prototype Engine applications.
  • Actively monitoring, responding to and file appropriately correspondence received in shared mailboxes.
  • Answering telephone calls and e-mail enquiries.
  • Assisting in other ad-hoc duties as required

Additional Information

A minimum of 60% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace or on location testing.  

Person specification

  • You will have excellent customer service skills and be able to understand and meet customer needs and provide a high-quality service. Being highly organised, you take great pride in your work and your attention to detail is second to none.
  • You will have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing. You will also be familiar with Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • You will be highly adaptable and flexible, adjusting to the requirements of the role. Being a team player with the ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure.
