Job summary

The Site Quality Conformance Officer (SQCM), is responsible to MOD St Athan Quality System Owner (QSO), through OC SHSE&Q and the Quality System Manager (QSM), for the overall coordination of the Quality Management System (QMS) at MOD Lyneham, following the guidance laid out in Chap 11.1 of the MAM-P  and the directives detailed in AP100C-10 . They are to maintain support to, but not include those specific areas managed and coordinated by the No 4SoTT Quality Manager (QM).  In general terms, as part of the Unit Safety and Assurance Cell (USAC), you are to act as the Focal Point (FP) and a conduit for all matters relating to operational Quality Assurance at MOD St Athan.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Job description

Acting as the Quality System Coordinator (QSC) as required by Order 4.0C of AP100C-10; further details of SQCM and QSC responsibilities as appropriate to MOD St Athan are defined in the Unit Quality Manual[1]. Maintaining a QMS at MOD St Athan on behalf of the MOD St Athan QSO iaw Order 2.0 of AP100C-102 as appropriate to the MOD St Athan task and Mission.[

The creation of a quality audit plan with the approval of, and in liaison with the QSM, designed to maintain and continually improve the standards and practices at MOD St Athan as required by Order 2.0 of AP100C-102 and as detailed in the UQM[1].

Coordinating and managing Quality Audit records and reports for presentation to the appropriate QSO for his scrutiny and comment iaw Chap 11.1 of MAM-P1.  Any outstanding actions required by the QSO are to be followed through to a satisfactory conclusion.

Providing advice and guidance to customers on quality issues and the promotion of quality awareness at MOD St Athan.  This is to include the coordination and following up internal and external Quality Occurrence Reports (QORs) as required by MAM-P1.

Acting as the Focal Point (FP) for all MOD St Athan operational Quality Training as required by Order 5.0 of the AP100C-102 and maintaining currency of personal training requirements for the post of the SQCM; this being Q-Gen-QAS together with X-700 and X-701 qualifications as required by the AP100C-102 Order 5.0.

Planning in Task Audits (TA) and Task Assurance Audits (TAA) when requested to do so by the QSO, the QSM or Sqn Cdrs the UCM4

 

Person specification

The successful candidate will be prepared to attend the QMS Audity Skill Course and the Audit Practioner course.
