Junior Technical Analysts are the drivers of our continued growth and success in our digital solutions.

With a commitment to innovation, you will support the Digital, Data and Technology Technical Analysis team to seek, develop, and help implement strategic digital initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity. Using your knowledge of work areas across the business, you will research systems solutions to evaluating their impacts, you will be a detailed planner, expert communicator, and top-notch analyst. You will make good judgements, be self-motivated and committed to the discovery and development of innovative solutions in an ever-changing digital landscape.

In addition, you will:

  • Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data.
  • Support change through providing support for technical business processes, developing systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels.
  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development.
  • Determine and develop user requirements for systems both planned and in production, to ensure maximum usability.

Job description

  • Partner with stakeholders across business units to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with muti-disciplinary teams.
  • Evaluate, analyse, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, through persuasion and guidance to all appropriate stakeholders.
  • Author and update internal and external documentation, in accordance with technical requirements and key principles and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation.
  • Initiate and develop meaningful relationships with colleagues to optimise system integration, respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations.

Person specification

Ability

  • Proven analytical abilities.
  • Experience in generating process documentation and reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Experience 

  • Proven ability to support projects.
  • Experience with data visualisation.
  • High proficiency in technical writing.

Technical

  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio.

Selection process details

Interview Arrangements

Interviews will be taking place Face to Face in our Liverpool and Newport Office.

We will assess you on the behaviours listed in the job description, and experience.

The sift is due to take place on 27/03/2024

Interviews will be held 11/04/2024  Newport and 12/04/2024 Liverpool.

We will try to meet the dates set out in the advert. There may be occasions when these dates change. You will be provided with sufficient notice of the confirmed dates. 

At the interview, the panel can then probe further and ask applicants to provide further specific examples that show how they best demonstrate their skills.
