Job summary

OC Domestic Supply Flight is responsible for the management and provision of Accommodation Stores, Clothing for home and overseas for Service and Civilian customers, Flying Clothing and Personal Protective Equipment for all RAF Coningsby personnel and lodger units.


This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. Job description

OC DSF is responsible for the daily operation workforce management of DSF. Provision to the Station and parented units all requirements of clothing and accommodation stores within allocated budgets, scales and available resources. The Designated Officer for soft FM Multi-Activity Contracts and focal point between the unit and contractors. The management and supervision of Service Contracts. Maintaining a computer based system for the control of budgets to National Audit Office Standards. Scrutiny of all invoices from contractors, investigating any discrepancies prior to forwarding to the Defence Infrastructure Organisation for payment. Completing monthly Spend Data Reports for onwards transmission to DIO. The timely provision of accommodation stores for new builds or new service projects. All other matters associated with related budgets. Maintain effective liaison with customers, ensuring good working relationships are maintained. Identify and investigate any adverse trends affecting the level of logistic support to customers. Provide management and supervision to the DSF team. Identify training needs and objectives and encourage personal development amongst all DSF staff. Support and maintain all DSF personnel with their annual appraisals throughout the reporting year.

Person specification

The candidate should have a good understanding of customer service provision, an understanding of Material Accounting principals would be advantageous but not essential.
