Job summary

Workforce Coord Control Officer 3 position lies within the Captain of the Base area in the Workforce Allocation Coordination Control Office (WACCO). They support the Executive Senior Rate in the management of the Base Duty Watch organisation, Base Induction Briefs, compilation of Weekly Orders and various other tasks that ensure the smooth running of the Executive Department.

The position is advertised at 37 hours per week, office based. Days of required attendance do have some flexibility, in agreement with your Line Manager, giving a good home/work balance.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • To compile the Base Duty Watch rosters for approval by WACCO Manager. Liaise with Departmental Coordinators to capture leave, non-availability and joiners/leavers within to the Duty Watch database by the end of the first week of the month. Publish all Duty Watch rosters at a time determined by the WACCO Manager. Compile, co-ordinate and control Duty Base Incident Command Roster.
  • Compile details of Duty Rosters for inclusion within Weekly Orders.
  • Assist the Executive Senior Rate with Base Induction briefs for RN new joiners.
  • Support the Executive Senior Rate as Visit Liaison Officer / Base Work Experience Officer in the planning & co-ordination arrangements for visiting groups and organisations, acting as Assistant Visit Liaison Officer.
  • Act as focal point for all Neptune Administration Building (NAB) defects and those identified during COB estate rounds, ensuring formal recording and follow up / hastening of outstanding works. Bi-annually, accompany 1Lt in NAB Health & Safety Rounds.
  • Compile Weekly Orders and submit to Base Executive Officer for final production.
  • Facilitate the effective running of the WACCO by forward planning stationery and stores needs and undertake ordering for the Dept in the absence of the Executive Departmental Support Manager.  
  • Act as the Unit IT Security Officer and PED focal point.
  • Issue ‘Daily Close of Work Check Sheets’ forms for NAB, replacing monthly and act as coord point for booking of Neptune Conference room for those without Clydeweb access.
