Job summary

His Majesty’s Naval Base Clyde (HMNB Clyde) is the Single Integrated Operating Base (SIOB) and Submarine Centre of Specialism (SMCoS) for the Royal Navy submarines and submariners. This operating construct allows the Royal Navy to deliver its operational commitments across all Defence Lines of Development from Scotland on an enduring basis.

Based at HMNB Clyde in Faslane, Hybrid Working, a blend of working in the workplace and from home, is widely encouraged but you should expect to work 3 days a week in Faslane in agreement with your Line Manager.

Job description

Delivery Sponsor (DS) 1.3 (Waterfront North) forms part of the Delivery Sponsor team within Deputy Head Infrastructure (DHI) Directorate. The post is the customer infrastructure lead for Waterfront North (Northern Utilities) and is responsible for - Leading and developing the DS 1.3 team.

Acting as Project Sponsor, setting user requirements and assuring delivery of 10-year capital investment programme, valued at c.£100M and the integration of the projects within the operational nuclear authorised site.

Acting as Intelligent Customer for the maintenance and through life replacement programme delivered through Industry Partner.

Working across organisations to deliver in an integrated and optimal way.

Ensuring compliance with nuclear site authorisation conditions.

Person specification

To be considered for this role you will have:

Experience of building and leading a hard-working team to deliver ambitious outcomes through collaboration with others;

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with a wide range of partners at all levels of the business.

Experience of managing infrastructure delivery within an operational environment.

Completed the Nuclear Introductory Course, or willing to attend within one year.
