Job summary

The Transformation and Change Division sits within the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Group within UK Export Finance (UKEF). The Division is responsible for delivery of, and assurance of, the Transformation and Change Plan, the portfolio of change within UKEF.

The Transformation and Change Plan covers the next 18 months of project and programme delivery and forecasts out by a further 18 months, covering Policy, Process, Digital and Technology change, focussing on delivering the Business Plan and new Target Operating Model.

Job description

The role of the Junior Business Change Manager is to proactively prepare the business for the impact of the changes being delivered by the project. The Junior Business Change Manager provides a bridge between the project and the business users to ensure that activities are planned and completed to enable the business to implement the agreed change and realise the business benefits.

Person specification

- Leadership & Delivery

  • Provide visible and effective leadership, work with project managers to lead on business change activity and work with the project to support delivery of the business case benefits and outcomes.
  • Champion the use of best practice and provide expert advice for team members and wider project community in UKEF.
  • Assess and understand the impact on stakeholders to improve the likelihood of their adoption of the change.
  • Support and when necessary, deputise for the Business Change lead in maintaining the Change Agents Network. Raising the profile of the network and overall awareness of change management across UKEF.

 - Business Case

  • Support the Project Manager in preparing and updating the change management elements of the business case.

 - Change Products

  • Provide input into creation of required Business Change products.
  • Support the engagement of relevant business/end users during the change process.

 - Change Planning

    • Support the Project Manager in preparing and updating the change plan.

 - Business Readiness

  • Support the Project Manager and business / end users in identifying, qualifying, and updating business readiness criteria before implementation
  • Assist with relevant assurance activities as required to ensure that relevant internal and government standards have been met

 - Benefits Management

    • Support the Project Manager and stakeholders to identify and leverage benefits.

 - Change Communication

    • Support Project Manager and Business Change Lead to create, and maintain communications plan in relation to Business Change Management
    • Work closely with Communications Teams to draft messages in relation to Change Management across UKEF

 - Stakeholder Management

    • Support project managers to identify stakeholders in the projects, ensures their inclusion in stakeholder engagement plan.

 - Guidance & Support

    • Support Business Change Lead in implementation of the overall Change Management Framework across the Portfolio and UKEF.

Selection process details

  • Technical - a short presentation (this will be on a topic determined by UKEF and will need to be prepared in advance).
