Job description

You will support the Communication and Engagement Manager in providing a professional communications service, to meet the Directorate’s business needs. You will build, manage, and maintain the Human Resources and Estates Directorate (HRED) intranet, developing engaging content and continuously evaluating your approach using audience insight. In addition, you will support the delivery of the Agency’s Attraction strategy, which will include occasionally attending external events and promoting the range of opportunities available within the agency.

Responsibilities  

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:   

  • Create and publish innovative, engaging, and accurate communications content for internal and external messages as appropriate, ensuring that corporate standards are applied, and meeting user needs.
  • Produce and evaluate data to continuously improve content. Understand user needs by analysing user research, feedback, and other data to develop recommendations for improvements.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across the agency, as well as external contacts, to represent HR and the Agency at public facing events.
  • Coordinate attraction events and activities, ensuring communication plans are reviewed, updated, and acted upon as appropriate.
  • Ensuring the Agency’s career sites are maintained and developed in line with business needs.

Person specification

We are looking for someone with excellent written communication skills who will be able to draft content to a high standard, delivering key messages to a range of audiences. You will have strong digital skills, as you will be the subject matter expert (SME) for the HRED intranet. You are highly motivated and curious, and work proactively to seek continuous improvement. You will have strong organisational skills, to be able to manage a varied workload, ensuring deadlines are met.

Due to the evolving nature of the business, vacancies can become available at any time. Therefore, this campaign may create a reserve list to fulfil demand if it arises which will be held for a period of 12 months.
