The Role

We’re recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer (Application Packaging) here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative MoJ End User Compute (EUC) Core Services Application Squad.

You will work in an Intune environment and package applications for use across the organisation's estate. You will collaborate with Business Analysts, Testers, Users and other Infrastructure Engineers. You will receive prioritised packaging requests to add additional applications to the catalogue, as well as update existing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Application Packaging Engineer in EUCs, you will:

  • Package COTS (common off the shelf) packages for use within the MoJ Official (MoJO) environment.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Testers and Users to ensure your output meets the business and user needs.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their adoption based on business value and security considerations.
  • Share knowledge of tools and techniques with the wider team and community, while also maintaining a collaboration culture.
  • Develop and update application policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with security on application packaging matters.
  • Provide support when necessary and act as a point of escalation for more serious problems.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Knowledge and experience with on premises and cloud application packaging technologies like Intune, SCCM, Powershell Application Deployment Toolkit.
  • Experience in scripting and automation of application deployment, setting up and running automations or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent collaboration and partnership skills, with a proven ability to work as part of a wider technical team (including engineers, architects, business analysts, testers etc.)
  • Work collaboratively and independently to provide solutions to complicated problems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for SC Clearance.

In Justice Digital, we recruit using a combination of the Government Digital and Data Profession Capability and Success Profiles Frameworks. We will assess your Experience, Technical Skills and the following Behaviours during the assessment process:

A diverse panel will review your application against the Person Specification above.

Successful candidates who meet the required standard will then be invited to a 1-hour panel interview held via video conference.
