Job summary

We are looking for an Information Management Assistant to join the Information and Records Management Service (IRMS) in the Parliamentary Archives office.

This is an opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal and organisational skills to gain experience in Information Management. This is a key support role within the team. The role-holder will participate in a wide range of activities, including providing advice and support to teams across Parliament.

Job description

You’ll be accountable for:

  • Organising training sessions, assigning people to deliver them, and managing user bookings and enquiries.
  • Updating and maintaining the IRMS intranet pages and supporting internal communications activities.
  • Helping with the administration of draft and published guidance.
  • Working with other team members to collate monthly and quarterly reporting statistics.
  • Processing hard copy records transferred to the Parliamentary Archives.
  • Organising team meetings and workshops, circulating agendas, and keeping the team calendar up to date.

Person specification

What we’re looking for:

  • Effective organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise your workload and manage your time.
  • Good customer service skills developed in a customer service environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and the ability to develop good working relationships with staff at all levels.
