Job summary

Post background

JNCC’s information governance and infrastructure is continuously evolving to respond to new developments in technology, enable effective collaboration across the organisation and with partners, and monitor information security. This exciting new post is being introduced to support this evolution, with a focus on developing an information governance framework and standards to improve the ways we use and share resources. In this post, you will work across the organisation to support teams to manage their information well, sharing knowledge, recommendations, and training with colleagues. A key objective will be to ensure information management is applied appropriately within the M365 environment.

The postholder will be part of a teamlet of 4 who provide information management and data protection advice and expertise to the science and corporate services teams. The teamlet makes up one part of the Digital and Data Solutions Team which delivers information management and data protection services, application development, data engineering and project management across the organisation.

You will also work closely with IT and Cyber Security colleagues on the delivery and championing of information and records management using M365, working with teams to enable more effective and efficient usage of information.

There will be lots of opportunities to work on projects of interest and collaborate with others across the organisation. An interest in nature conservation and ecological knowledge would be helpful to you but are not a requirement.
