We are recruiting for an expert in Identity and Access management services. You will play a key role in ensuring our Identity & Access Management services are delivered in alignment with the needs of UKRI. Working closely with DDaT colleagues and suppliers, you will ensure that the technical solutions evolve in line with the product roadmap, remaining fit for purpose, and providing an acceptable balance of flexibility versus control. As IAM services are a key underpinning technology for numerous areas, experience across multiple technology domains would be an advantage.

As the Identity & Access Management Technical specialist, you will be responsible for understanding and implementing new Identity and Access Management services, then transitioning them to delivery partners or arranging ongoing service delivery and ownership within the DDaT team.

Job description

  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of technologies in the identity and access management space.
  • Monitoring technology and industry trends
  • Undertake design, build, and support activities
  • Working with colleagues to facilitate the evolution of end-user experience and access all systems from anywhere, securely
  • Collaborating with the technical lead, Security and Architecture teams on the implementation of security controls
  • Managing user accounts, permissions, and entitlements throughout an identity lifecycle
  • Documenting procedures and processes.
  • Managing and Monitoring systems including Active Directory, Microsoft Azure AD/Entra ID and IGA.
  • SSO, Provisioning and API Integration of SaaS applications.

Person specification

Essential

You will need to be able to demonstrate the following technical knowledge and skills in a range of IT areas with a focus on:

  • Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Manipulating data and automating processes
  • Documentation and report writing skills to both technical and business audiences
  • Taking a problem or requirements specification and designing and implementing technical solutions
  • Working with delivery partners to drive value and performance improvements in delivering continuous improvement in a relevant IT field
  • Evidence-based decision making and following processes and policies and challenging where appropriate
