Job summary

UK Security Vetting have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR and Performance Manager. You will be part of a small dynamic team who will work together to further build capability essential to the continuous development of our people and our service 

As HR and Performance Manager you will be integral to providing guidance, support, and feedback to employees, managers and senior leaders by implementing policies and procedures related to provide an excellent HR performance management culture and operation. 

Job description

Duties will include but not be limited to 

  • Support the HR and Performance Lead to ensure objectives are delivered within agreed timescales 
  • Provide first line advice to line managers of HR and performance issues escalating to other HR services when appropriate 
  • Support Trade Union relationships
  • Support performance management and building line management capability through coaching support 
  • Formulate methodologies to identify, report and resolve workplace or interpersonal barriers to performance.
  • Analyse HR data and apply understanding to decide on an appropriate intervention or course of action. 
  • Review and analyse evidence and data making recommendations to address areas for improvements.

Person specification

Essential Criteria 

  • Proven HR generalist experience of  minimum three years 
  • Strong organisational and communication skills 
  • Solid knowledge of current employment legislation and its application
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Provide line manager support for key people issues
  • Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team
  • Ability to analyse and understand data and apply analytics to business delivery 

 Desirable Criteria 

  • Chartered Membership of the CIPD or equivalent professional experience, supported by continuing professional development. Willingness to work towards 
  • Experience of HR consultancy work or other service delivery based on a Customer Relationship Model

To assess experience you will be asked to provide a 500- word personal statement and a name-blind (anonymous) CV as part of the application process.
