About the job

Job summary

The data and analytics graduate programme provides an exciting opportunity for a graduate to experience and learn from a range of different data and analytical disciplines working across the Agency to address different business needs and requirements to support housing delivery and regeneration.

Job description

Participants on our Graduate Programme will develop their strategic thinking, problem solving, project management, leadership and relationship building skills whilst undertaking placements within their chosen profession. Day to day, depending on your chosen profession you could be acquiring or disposing of land, providing investment for infrastructure or working collaboratively with our partner organisations. From day one, you will have ownership and responsibility for your own projects / work.

You will be supported by your placement manager; have a buddy and you will be empowered to take ownership of your own learning and development including having access to a coach or mentor. Towards the end of the programme, we will support you to obtain a role aligned to your career aspirations and organisational needs.

The programme will work in a logical order: firstly, providing graduates with an understanding of how we want to use and work with data within the Agency (Data Strategy) and secondly give them an opportunity to influence how we would design our data architecture and establish effective governance. After completing the first two stages, graduates will be able to select work-placement areas of interest for their next rotation, covering following work-areas: build (engineering within a data platform), data visualisation, analytics (data analysis) and utilising modern coding (Data Science) to unlock new insight to help drive how the Agency operates.

During your time in the programme you will be exposed to different business areas and data disciplines (geospatial) to help better understand how information is or could be used, the opportunities it creates, what products are required and help shape what the culture and capabilities around data needs to look like. You will finish the programme by coordinating an end-to-end project to support a business area allowing them to utilise all of the knowledge acquired to date.
