Job description

Leading a passionate, committed and talented team and working with colleagues and leaders from across the Agency, you will have the autonomy to shape how and what we communicate to our staff.   You will lead our efforts in amplifying our impact, shaping our narrative, and fostering meaningful connections with our stakeholders.

 

As a key part of this role will be raising the visibility of our leadership you’ll need to be comfortable operating at the highest levels of Homes England, briefing our Chief Executive, Executive and Senior Leadership Teams as well as the Board on internal communications matters. 

 

As well as overseeing business as usual communications such as Town Halls and staff bulletins, you will also be leading on the communications for some significant, high profile change initiatives that impact everyone at Homes England. 

 

This is a significant and influential position for an outstanding communications leader to make an impact in an organisation that’s at the centre of home and place making across England. 

Person specification

You will have a strong track record in internal communications and an excellent understanding of how it supports an organisation to achieve its goals at a similar level. You would have led and delivered effective organisational internal communications campaigns that have supported business and behavioural change, demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environments and effectively prioritise competing demands.

 

 

 

Excellent knowledge of internal communication effectiveness evaluation metrics and techniques will be essential, with a passion to use these to improve processes, ways of working and campaigns.  You will have experience of managing the delivery of employee events such as Town Halls and conferences.

 

 

 

You will be comfortable working with and briefing leaders at the Board and Executive levels and below in an organisation with formidable experience of building relationships across complex matrix organisations. You will be able to have demonstrable experience of effective team leadership and management experience.
