Job summary

A key role within the Finance Department, you’ll support Kew’s mission by delivering a high performing business partnering service that provides up to date, relevant information to the organisation enabling effective decision-making by senior leadership, the Executive Board and Trustees.  Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll ensure effective financial communication across the organisation and develop the team to meet the needs of the organisation as we work to deliver our Manifesto for Change. 

Job description

Leading the monthly reporting process, quarterly forecasting and annual budget process, you’ll provide financial insights to aid timely decision making, as well supporting the development of the financial plan.

You’ll support the delivery of our Manifesto for Change, through critical review of business cases and supporting management on financial matters including capital projects, delivery of income generating ideas as well as efficiency savings.

Person specification

You’ll be a qualified accountant, with proven experience of leading a business partnering service/management accounts function in a complex organisation, ideally including both not for profit and commercial experience.
