Job description

Reporting to the Director of Data and Analytics, you will be responsible for coordinating activity around data architecture, governance, and data quality, allowing the agency and wider society to derive maximum value from our data. You will champion Homes England data standards and the value of data to our agency and support the data directorates ambition to mature the use of data and analytics in decision making.

You will ensure we have appropriate logical and physical models in place to support our data assets and services and play crucial role in establishing effective governance, including coordination of data ownership across the agency. In addition, you will drive forward work on surfacing data integrity issues to support data improvements and help ensure that the agency understands and makes affective use of its data assets.

Utilising your communication skillset, you will be responsible for ensuring a strong cross working relationship across the agency, specifically working closely with colleagues in digital and enterprise architecture but also forming a strong relationship with data owners and stewards from across the business areas. In addition, you would be expected to work alongside government departments and policy bodies to share best practice and seek for opportunities to further develop our ability to gain insights by acquiring new data assets to support the Government’s housing and regeneration strategy.

As the Head of Data Architecture and Governance, you will have demonstrable interpersonal skills, with an ability to form robust and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders with professional credibility, resilience, and integrity. Furthermore, you will utilise these skills to influence and shape how you collaboratively work with colleagues at all levels across the Agency, to embed the values and behaviours that underpin the Homes England Way.
