Job summary

Working in a team with the Facilities Managers, the Security/Facilities Assistant will play a critical role in providing an efficient and responsive facilities and security service for the Bristol office and wider organisation. Acting as the first point of contact within the office and managing a shared inbox/Help Desk platform to resolve issues and queries as well as liaising with members of staff, building managements, external visitors, and service providers in a professional and efficient manner.

You will be joining our small but friendly and enthusiastic team, who are committed to providing a high-quality facilities service, ensuring the safety and security of staff, external visitors, and partners. The role includes supporting security functions to manage building access pass production, process staff security clearances, and support facilities functions to promote a brilliant place to work through first class customer service. Working in a respectful, collaborative way and through innovative approaches to problem solving to handle security and facilities related enquiries.

Person specification

his role will suit you if you have a passion for delivering first class customer service and are comfortable "spinning several plates" at once, always be looking for innovative ways to improve processes.

 You'll be comfortable supporting the organisation with complex security and facilities issues, aiming to resolve them efficiently, professionally and in accordance with internal service level agreements. You will be proficient and confident in dealing with operational security and when engaging with staff at all levels to resolve issues in the office environment and with security procedures. You will be passionate about supporting the organisation to ensure that Homes England’s offices are a clean, tidy, safe, professional, functional, and secure environments for staff and visitor. 

 As an innovative, accountable and professional member of the team, you’ll understand how to support colleagues and internal stake holders as first point of contact through strong customer service and be able to demonstrate you can work with others in a collaborative, inclusive way. Your discussions and engagements will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a team.
