Working in the Joint Electronic Warfare Operational Support Centre (JEWOSC), we need dynamic individuals to be Electronic Warfare Intelligence Analysts. We are an integral part of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and a provider of strategic defence intelligence to the department and the armed forces.   

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week 

Strategic Command is going through a significant transformation programme which aims to improve the way the Command conducts its business and delivers for Defence and the nation. As a consequence of this, all posts within Strategic Command Headquarters and in time the wider organisation, are/will be subject to review and potential changes as we continuously improve across the period of the transformation programme. These changes may be minor or could be more substantive and will generate new opportunities.  Throughout, the Command’s transformation programme is committed to following the MOD’s framework on managing and supporting people through the change process and places an emphasis on early and open consultation and engagement with the Command’s personnel and Trade Unions. 

Job description

Experience in the EW environment is not essential but would be an advantage to the applicant. A good understanding of sophisticated EW theories is also an advantage, the work is very much analytically focused.   

A Level graduates in Physics/Electronic/Electrical/Computer Science/Maths (or associated subject) are encouraged to apply.   

Comprehensive free training will be given to enable the job holders to deliver the required research, analysis, assessment, collection, and validation of available information on the specialised systems.   

The positions covered in this vacancy are located at RAF Waddington, Lincoln, however there are opportunities to travel as part of the job.

The individuals will be part of our dynamic team responsible for researching, assessing, collating, and validating various EW systems to describe them within the Improved Defence EW Database (iDEWDB) a Priority 1 Defence Critical Asset. 

Qualifications 

A minimum of A Level Pass in Physics/Electronic/Electrical/Computer Science/Maths (or associated subject) 
Or 
5 Years appropriate relevant employment experience
