Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) for the administration, organisation and management of the Medical Centre and for ensuring discipline, efficiency and welfare of Medical Centre personnel. 

Person specification

The successful candidates will be:

  • Undertaking systemic review of resource allocation, implementing changes as appropriate to maximise quality and effectiveness of services.
  • Rotating of staff within the medical centre to ensure adequate experience is obtained in each department.
  • Compiling and maintaining a record of addresses and telephone numbers of all service and civilian departments that it may be necessary to contact in an emergency.
  • Engaging with the lead clinician at the earliest opportunity after receipt of a complaint. 
  • Ensuring that the archiving process is followed and that all records are sufficiently protected and adequately reviewed to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Caldicott Principles.
