Are you a recruitment specialist with a passion for early talent?

We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Talent & Graduate Campaign Lead to join the Attraction team at Scottish Government in a newly created role championing early careers in the public sector.

It is a great time to join our team as we grow our Attraction Service, using the latest digital tools and innovations to establish our employer brand as a leader in the marketplace and delivering on our organisational mission to work together to improve the lives of the people of Scotland.

You will bring experience of direct sourcing early talent candidates, delivering specialised recruitment campaigns and marketing vacancies across multiple channels and platforms, including paid advertising and social media. You will lead our attraction approach to early talent, delivering our graduate recruitment campaign, promoting modern apprenticeships and developing new entry level schemes.

This is a key role which will help to shape the future of early talent at the Scottish Government, reaching our target audiences with engaging content and attracting the best talent to come and work here. 

Job description

• Create effective briefs for early talent campaigns by consulting with Hiring Managers, Recruiters and Programme Leads.

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, providing an early talent attraction focus and campaign management.

• Identify and build relationships with further and higher education providers, relevant contacts and candidates. 

• Plan and manage the day to day delivery of multiple early talent campaigns including all deliverables, timescales, resources and channels.

• Monitor the performance of all early talent campaigns using data to interpret trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.

• Assess procurement requirements and create / present business cases to request the necessary budget and demonstrate strength of your recommendations.

• Effectively manage and prioritise your schedule, ensuring focus on high priority activities.

Essential Criteria 

1. Experience of developing and delivering effective early talent or graduate recruitment campaigns using a range of media channels.

2. Proven relationship management skills, with ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders and partner organisations.

3. Demonstrable knowledge of the full resourcing life-cycle and the importance of the candidate experience.

4. Ability to analyse data, quickly identify trends and opportunities and summarise findings.
