Job description

Major Programme & Project Delivery (MPP) is accountable and responsible for the delivery of infrastructure capital projects to support the Front Line Commands (FLCs). MPP provides infrastructure project delivery and expert input to the early development of programmes and projects across the FLCs. MPP has embraced the principles of Portfolio, Programme and Project Management (P3M) and will foster them. MPP also supports DE&S on all infrastructure aspects of hybrid projects, including nuclear. MPP operates through a geographically dispersed organisation.
The DIO Excellence Group sets the standard for Project Delivery across the organisation. The team also enables the right tools, systems information and data to enable best practice project delivery. MPP is currently developing its digital and data capability and the role holder will have the opportunity to rationalise, harmonise digitise and automate MPP's system and data landscape.

  • To have experience and knowledge of most project management such as Risk/Issue/Opportunity Management, Planning/Scheduling, Stakeholder Management, Benefit Management, Governance, Requirements etc
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver business change and improvements
  • Proven experience of building and leading high performing teams
  • Experience of Knowledge Management Principles
