Job description
DIO's MPP United States Visiting Forces (USVF) team act as the delivery agent for a diverse £1.8bn design and construction portfolio on USVF bases within the UK. In support of this the Senior Security Compliance Manager will be asked to ensure security infrastructure compliance with UK and US statutory and mandatory regulations across this portfolio. The duties of this post will also include the provision of technical advice and liaison support. You will engage with the UK and US governing bodies, Defence Safety Authority (DSA) and DIO Technical Support Services, resolving anomalies, achieving compliance and ensuring USVF personnel are aware of security standards for both UK and US regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team in a varied and stimulating environment!
Please note, it is anticipated that in the future this position’s security clearance will have to be increased from Security Check (SC) to Developed Vetting (DV)
Person specification
We will ask you to:
Advise all USVF colleagues on US and UK security policies
Provide security assurance of the DIO MPP USVF and Delivery Partners’ supply chain
Engage with relevant project teams, security experts and stakeholders to ensure compliance across unique USVF environment
Contribute to the overarching aim of ensuring secure, accreditable facilities delivered to the correct standards in a timely manner
Use your subject matter expert know how and experience to mitigate against security issues emerging and causing delay to delivery
Establish, facilitate, and chair security forums as part of a robust reporting framework
Liaise with the appropriate legislative body to resolve anomalies between US and UK standards
Provide presentations, and briefings regarding security risk management processes and updates to Senior Leaders where required
Progress issues that may have wider implications for MOD Estates to MOD Legal
Provide technical advice and define outputs regarding US and UK security policies
Desirable Experience & Skills:
Experience of working in the Ministry of Defence and/or other Government Departments or Public Sector organisations
Knowledge and experience of working on installations occupied by a Host Nation and Visiting Force or similar, where regulations and standards of both countries apply.
Security Clearance (Developed Vetting)
Knowledge and experience of cyber security and its supporting physical security measures
Working knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation processes

Presentation:
Candidates who are successful at sift will be expected to deliver a 10 minute presentation on the day of the interview. The subject matter will be disclosed upon invite to interview.
