Roles and Responsibilities

As a Delivery Workflow Management Assistant, your key duties will include:

  • Providing essential support on casework that is not progressing to ensure targets are met.
  • Triaging of activities and casework to assist in workflow management.
  • Managing and monitoring the team mailbox.
  • Providing support to the Delivery Workflow Managers on ad-hoc requests as required.
  • Providing feedback to Delivery Workflow Managers on issues affecting case progression.
  • Working with caseworkers in other departments to enhance knowledge of Vetting procedures.

Person specification

As a Delivery Workflow Management Assistant within UK Security Vetting, we are looking for people who have the following expertise and attributes:

  • A proactive and enthusiastic nature, with a positive can-do attitude, organised, and an ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • A natural collaborator with an ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • A strong communicator, both verbally and written, with strong attention to detail.
  • Good analytical skills with great attention to detail, and the ability to present accurate data.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite, to assist in the creation of visual and verbally engaging analyses, reports, and presentations.

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of vetting and policy procedures.

Additional information:

A minimum 60% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace. Although requirements to attend other locations for official business will also count towards this level of attendance.

This vacancy is using Success Profiles (opens in a new window), and will assess your Behaviours and Experience.

Application process

At the sift stage you will be assessed on the Behaviours and Experience elements of the Success Profiles.

You will be asked to provide a 250-word statement on the Behaviours Making Effective Decisions and Managing a Quality Service.

To assess experience you will be asked to provide a 500 word name blind (anonymous) Personal Statement.

Should a large number of applications be received, an initial sift may be undertaken using the Lead Behaviour Making Effective Decisions and the 500 word name blind (anonymous) Personal Statement. Candidates who pass the initial sift may be progressed to a full sift, or progressed straight to assessment/interview.

New entrants are expected to join on the minimum of the pay band.

Applicants who are successful at interview will be, as part of pre-employment screening, subject to a check on the Internal Fraud Database (IFD). This check will provide information about employees who have been dismissed for fraud or dishonesty offences.
