Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity within a progressing department where you will continue to work to transform workflow management within the UK Security Vetting (UKSV). Your role as Delivery Workflow Coordinator will be essential in supporting the delivery of vetting to UKSV’s customers.

Job description

The responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Collecting, analysing and preparing a variety of business data to help inform workflow planning and reporting.
  • Analysing business data, identifying workflow issues and risks and resolving or escalating.
  • Reviewing data on products and workstreams to assist in the balancing and management of workflow.
  • Managing and triaging blocked casework to assist KPI monitoring and reporting.
  • Casework management in support of Priority Indicators.
  • Mailbox management and subsequent activity management.
  • Line management responsibilities and acting as a role model to provide a continuous improvement growth mindset.
  • Support to the Delivery Workflow Managers on ad-hoc requests as required.

Person specification

As a Delivery Workflow Coordinator within UK Security Vetting, we are looking for people who have the following expertise and attributes:

  • A proactive and enthusiastic nature, with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Organised, and an ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • A natural collaborator with an ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong communicator, both verbally and written, with strong attention to detail.
  • Good analytical skills with great attention to detail, and the ability to present accurate data.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to assist in the creation of visual and verbally engaging analyses, reports, and presentations.

Essential:

  • Experienced in workflow management in a fast-paced Delivery and Services environment.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Vetting policies and procedures.

Additional information:

A minimum 60% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace. Although requirements to attend other locations for official business will also count towards this level of attendance.

Selection process details

This vacancy is using Success Profiles (opens in a new window), and will assess your Behaviours and Experience.

Application process

At the sift stage you will be assessed on the Behaviours and Experience elements of the Success Profiles.

You will be asked to provide a 250-word statement on the Behaviour Making Effective Decisions.

To assess experience you will be asked to provide a 500-word Personal Statement. 

Should a large number of applications be received, an initial sift may be undertaken using the Personal Statement. Candidates who pass the initial sift may be progressed to a full sift, or progressed straight to assessment/interview.
