Job description

The Role:

As a Delivery Manager within our dynamic digital team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects and initiatives centred around the Microsoft Power Platform. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical experts to drive efficient and effective delivery. You will collaborate with outsourced digital suppliers and our IT Services supplier to manage delivery and support needs. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality solutions that empower our organization to achieve its goals. You may also support delivery of digital projects outside of the Power Platform. 

We will provide you with opportunities to upskill and develop in the role so if you demonstrate potential we will work with you to obtain any necessary accreditations to become an expert.

Key Responsibilities: 

Digital Delivery: 

  • Lead end-to-end digital delivery, from scoping and planning to execution and post-implementation support.
  • Define scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and proactively address issues to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure timely delivery of solutions within budget and scope. 

Stakeholder Management: 

  • Engage with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to understand requirements and priorities.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Communicate delivery status, risks, and dependencies effectively. 

Quality Assurance: 

  • Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to best practices.
  • Conduct regular reviews and quality checks.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes. 

Change Management: 

  • Facilitate change management activities related to digital product implementations.
  • Support end-users during transitions.
  • Promote adoption of Power Platform solutions. 

Reporting and Metrics: 

  • Prepare regular status reports and dashboards.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery.
  • Use data to drive decision-making and process improvements. 

Person specification

Project Management Skills 

  • Project Planning and Execution - Ability to create project plans, set milestones, allocate resources, and manage project timelines effectively
  • Risk Management - Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle. 

Technical Skills 

  • Power Platform Expertise - Proficiency in using Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
  • Understanding of Low-Code Development:** Familiarity with low-code/no-code development principles. 

Stakeholder Management 

  • Communication - Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders, understand their needs, and convey project updates.
  • Negotiation and Conflict Resolution - Resolve conflicts and negotiate priorities effectively. 

Leadership and Collaboration 

  • Team Leadership - Ability to lead cross-functional teams, motivate team members, and foster collaboration.
  • Influence and Persuasion - Influence decision-making and drive alignment among stakeholders. 

Change Management 

  • Change Leadership - Guide teams and end-users through transitions related to new solutions.
  • User Adoption Strategies - Develop strategies to encourage adoption of solutions. 

Analytical Thinking 

  • Problem-Solving - Analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
  • Metrics-Driven Approach - Use data and metrics to measure project success and drive continuous improvement. 

Agile Methodology 

  • Agile/Scrum Experience - Familiarity with agile principles, ceremonies, and practices.
  • Adaptability - Ability to respond to changing requirements and adjust project plans accordingly. 

Essential Experience:

Delivering outcomes

  • Know how to help teams to manage and visualize, measure and evaluate outcomes. Understand and act upon prioritisation to enable forward planning  

Agile Principles

  • Have had experience in applying Agile principles in practice, can identify and compare the best framework or delivery methods to use 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Can facilitate difficult discussions within the team or with diverse senior stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. You are able to communicate progress and blockers to senior stakeholders 

Digital Tooling 

  • Experience and confidence in the use of digital tools to support delivery

Shortlist:

The Panel will shortlist applications based on Experience and Lead Behaviour- Changing and Improving.

Interview:

The interview assessment will consist of a Presentation followed by a behaviour-based interview .
