Job description

This is a critical business change role, responsible for overseeing the optimisation of MyHR, expanding current and adoption of new functionality. You will act as a key liaison between the business and the Optimisation Project Team, using SME knowledge and business change support to develop and transition services into DBS business areas and the adoption of enhanced self-service capability across the MOD.

Work with customers to establish and deliver a MyHR optimisation capability, configuring unused functionality within the product to deliver fresh transformative value to defence.

Work collaboratively with other members of the Change and Modernisation Team and representatives of the DBS Operational Teams to ensure the best delivery of all change and modernisation initiatives across FPCP.

Review and act on customer feedback relating to the MyHR Optimisation Project and identify areas of improvement through the change request process.

Have Line Management responsibility for one HEO MyHR Transaction Console Manager.

Have joint responsibility for managing and acting upon Oracle Updates including new patches.

Responsibilities – as the MyHR Optimisation Business Change Manager you will be responsible for the following deliverables where required:

  • Leadership and Delivery - Lead on business change activity and work with the project to support delivery of the business case benefits and outcomes. Champion the use of standard methodology and provide expert advice for team members and project community. Assess and understand the impact on vested parties to improve the likelihood of their adoption of the change.
  • Change Products - Support the Project Manager to create the required Business Change products. Leads on engagement with key contacts. Ensures products are fit for purpose.
  • Change Planning - Establish and maintain the change plan.
  • Business Readiness - Identify, qualify, and update the business readiness criteria across area of responsibility before implementation. Supports the tracking of these to 'approve/refuse' launch.
  • Business Management - Support the Benefits Manager, Project Manager, and stakeholders to identify and leverage benefits. Considers Benefits Management in all Business Change activities.
  • Change Communication - Create and maintain communication plans as they relate to Business Change messaging. Provides content for communications relating to Business Change across area of responsibility.
  • Stakeholder Management - Identify and classify stakeholders, ensure their inclusion in relevant engagement plans. Point of contact for larger pool / more senior stakeholders. Chair relevant participant groups across MOD including Functional Leads and Service Owners, to agree the implementation of new opportunities identified during the MyHR Optimisation Project.

Person specification

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about discovering, developing and implementing opportunities for change in delivery of operational services through technology. They should have a good understanding of Oracle SAAS products, especially Human Capital Management and appreciate its impact and benefits for Defence.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate how they have delivered change and improvements within an operational HR environment.
