Job description

Job Purpose

Management and delivery of the DBS system operations and test functions for Oracle E Business Suite Contracting Purchasing and Finance (CP&F) and Ancillary systems.

Accountable to the DBS Finance and Commercial Service Owner for:

•    The resolution of incidents in line with Service Level Agreement time frames.
•    The provision of Service Requests to time, cost and quality
•    Meeting System Performance Key Performance Indicators and Performance Indicators.
•    The test and assurance of all system changes, in line with the agreed Programme.

Job Responsibilities

•    Manage the delivery of Oracle eBusiness Suite CP&F and Ancillary System Service Requests.
•    Develop and maintain processes to ensure robust incident management is in place.
•    Lead in Operations & Test Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain effective relationships in Finance and Commercial Functional Lead areas, with TLB Focal Points and suppliers involved in the delivery of our services.
•    Monitor System Performance and formally report on a monthly basis.
•    Coach and mentor direct reports, monitor performance levels and ensure these are aligned to MoD and DBS standards.
•    Attend all required governance boards.
•    Drive forward innovation and performance improvements in order to inform measurable performance metrics


Person specification

Essential

•    Strong oral and written communication and workshop facilitation skills.
•    Proven leadership and managerial skills.

To have or be willing to obtain: 

•    ITIL Foundation
•    MOD Financial Skills Certificate

Desirable

•    At least 3 years’ experience in IT services
•    Excellent knowledge of Financial and Commercial Processes

Short listed candidates will be invited to complete a series of online psychometric exercises, which will produce additional information to assist the selection panel at interview.
