Key Responsibilities:

As a Data Analyst in Justice Digital’s Workforce Data Service team, your expertise will be pivotal in shaping our newly-formed Service, a crucial component for successful workforce planning. This role offers a unique chance to influence our workforce data, processes, and methodologies from the outset.

You will support the Senior Data Analyst and the mission of the Service by cleaning, organising, manipulating and transforming workforce data. You will use data to create regular and ad hoc reports for a range of stakeholders and be able to select and visualise data appropriately for that audience.

You will use your knowledge of Orgvue - training will be provided if you do not know Orgvue - to help maintain the workforce datasets in Orgvue by validating data and facilitating its correction. That said, the service is system agnostic and you will therefore also understand and work with datasets in other tools and systems.

You will have a strong understanding of a wide range of analytical tools such as MS Excel and Google Sheets, and will be fluent in the use of these to clean, organise and visualise data. The Service has roadmapped the development of dashboards in Power BI.

You will engage with our users and stakeholders regularly, offering support and training in Orgvue. You will therefore be comfortable leading small group sessions that create a supportive and engaging experience for our users.

You will be encouraged and supported to develop your knowledge and skills - something we are committed to in the Service and also in Justice Digital.

You may be suited for this role if you:

  • Have a passion for doing interesting things with data.
  • Enjoy working in a team as well as working alone.
  • Want to learn everything about Orgvue, a market-leading organisational design and workforce planning tool, and become the specialist for it in Justice Digital, including its scripting language, Gizmo.
  • Like taking responsibility for work streams and being that go-to person.
  • Have a user-led approach to the products and services you contribute to.
  • Enjoy prototyping, failing fast and learning from our users.
  • Thrive in a safe and inclusive team with a flexible approach that celebrates success and values learning from experience.

If this feels like an exciting challenge, something you are enthusiastic about, and want to join our team please read on and apply!

  • 25 days leave (plus bank holidays) and 1 privilege day usually taken around the Kings’ birthday. 5 additional days of leave once you have reached 5 years of service.
  • Compassionate maternity, adoption, and shared parental leave policies, with up to 26 weeks leave at full pay, 13 weeks with partial pay, and 13 weeks further leave. And maternity support/paternity leave at full pay for 2 weeks, too!
