The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) finds and funds exploitable innovation to support UK Defence and Security mission quickly and effectively, and support UK prosperity. DASA is part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) but we work across all Government departments who have responsibility for national security. The Governance & Metrics Officer is a new and exciting role, which will play a key part in DASA outcome metrics development, process assurance, benefit tracking and business workflow analysis. The role is cross cutting, and extends beyond the organisational boundary in collecting and exploiting data from a variety of sources.

Job description

In this role you will:

  • Work as part of a team in the development of DASA Outcome Metrics, demonstrating the Outcome of DASA's work in accelerating innovation.
  • Define National Security and Prosperity metrics
  • Align work to MOD Industry Operating Model
  • Conduct interviews with DASA Suppliers to gather supporting evidence
  • Develop methods to capture data and define forward looking plan to maintain and develop metrics
  • Track project and Themed competition progress to capture impact and benefits
  • Support business analysis and workflow mapping within DASA
  • Support case queue management of DASA workflow change requests

Person specification

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with development of metrics and/or key performance indicators
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of benefits realisation
  • A passion for Defence and Security innovation

Our work in defence, security and intelligence requires our employees to be UK Nationals who are able to gain a high level of security clearance to undertake the projects we are involved in to protect us from security threats. This role will require full UK security clearance and you should have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. For some roles Developed Vetting will also be required, in this case you should have resided in the UK for the past 10 years.
