Job summary

This role entails being responsible for the change and release management practice, designing effective processes for change and release management, and automating these processes using suitable tools. The individual will make decisions regarding all technical changes in collaboration with colleagues, coordinate releases and their interdependencies, and take ownership of the ServiceNow CMDB and supporting services to maintain accuracy and currency.

Additionally, the role includes overseeing configuration management to ensure compliance, particularly concerning change, recording and controlling changes to assets, and managing service components to meet business needs and performance targets. The candidate will be a champion of change management, actively seeking to improve and optimize processes and ensuring alignment with other practices. They will own issues until a new owner is identified or the problem is mitigated or resolved, and will consult effectively with colleagues and stakeholders as required.

Person specification

The successful candidate will be a confident, enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced professional. You will have a proven track record working within a digital operations environment and have a passion for supporting and exploring technology.

 

They will have extensive experience in change management, capable of developing and executing a change management process to its full potential. The ideal candidate will have a foundational ITIL4 Certification, with a Managing Professional level being highly desirable. They should exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

 

The role requires an individual who can work collaboratively, actively engage in networking, and adapt to feedback. They should be proactive in identifying and resolving issues, as well as recognizing and contributing to process optimization opportunities. The ability to diagnose and prioritize issues, investigate their causes, and find resolutions is essential. A thorough understanding of the core technical concepts related to the role is also necessary.

 

This position is suited for someone who is not only technically adept but also committed to continuous learning and improvement, aligning with our organizational values and goals.

 

You will be the kind of person who is confident enough to engage fully in our team meetings, projects and day to day work and make a positive contribution to the continual improvement of processes and behaviours within our team and yourself.

 

Excellent understanding and demonstrable experience of working to the ITIL framework.
