Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Change Communications Manager, in our well-respected corporate communication team. 

This pivotal role will work with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that change communications are joined up to aid understanding and awareness of change initiatives. 

Job description

You will work at every level advising on communication strategies and putting these into practice through targeted tactical delivery. 

You will have the scope to be creative in developing engaging staff engagement strategies, which inform, engage and excite. 

You will be the custodian of the change narrative, ensuring its consistent application across the agency and ensure quality content relating to change projects. 

You will support in the line management of two roles, providing them with the direction and support required to do their roles effectively.

Person specification

Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders on internal communication campaigns, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.

You'll be comfortable with managing communications plan and drafting content for internal audiences. Along with a flair for creative writing, being able to turn complex messages in to simple and easy to understand communications. 

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy so you will understand principles of employee engagement in change programmes as well as the importance of consistent messaging across our internal channels.

You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a Communications team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun, and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.

As an experienced communications professional you’ll understand how to work flexibly on priorities as no day is the same and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.

Previous experience as a communications professional

Educated to degree-level or equivalent (including CIPR and PRCA or similar industry qualifications) 
with people management experience, ideally within a dispersed or agile team

Experience working closely with change/PMO professionals and have a good understanding of 
organisational change methodology and best practice, ideally with a focus on agile principles
