About the job

Job summary

Business Events is a key contributor to the visitor economy as well as platform to drive inward investment to the UK. Delegates attending events in the UK bring significant spend, knowledge and potential inward investment to cities and business across the country.

The Business Events team help the UK attract more world-class business events (congresses, meetings, exhibitions, incentive travel), particularly from Government priority sectors all across the country. The team also supports domestic events that can attract an international audience.

This role will develop consistent and coherent positioning and brand strategies and values for VisitBritain and VisitEngland Business Events. This will be in line with overall Business Events and parent brand objectives at VisitBritain and VisitEngland.

The role holder will work with carefully selected channels, industry and media partners and deliver with project teams owned and paid marketing campaigns as well as in support of all key team activities.

The role will represent the business events team on internal digital and marketing-based digital and data transformation projects taking place across VisitBritain and VisitEngland.
