Working in the Home Ownership Business Control team the Business Control Analyst will play an important role in delivering the Home Ownership Conduct Risk strategy and directorate control and process reviews by identify/advise on management of risks, review compliance, assess customer outcomes and review design and effectiveness of processes for improvement. You will be joining our friendly, highly skilled and experienced team, who are committed to making positive change and ensuring we deliver consistently good customer outcomes.

Working with key stakeholders and a professional team you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective oversight and advice to deliver good customer outcomes, effective control environment and efficient service delivery.

 

The role will include delivery of customer outcomes, process reviews and control assessments with a strong focus on good customer outcomes, standards adherence and policy & procedural compliance within Home Ownership, across the Agency and within outsourced external service providers.  The role will support the design and delivery of key strategic projects and activity to support the ongoing stewardship of a loan book valued at c.£19bn and with c. 250,000 customers. There are some rewarding and ambitious projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing solutions to the portfolio management and customer outcomes of our loans services.

A bit about you…

 

Whilst our day job is to deliver first class service to our customers and stakeholders, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.

 

You'll be comfortable supporting the customer-centric strategy by shaping and delivering a risk based conduct and service review plan. You will have experience and understanding of best practice standards covering governance, conduct risk, control reviews and compliance preferably within financial services and/or customer focussed environments.

 

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as the customer facing Home Ownership team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.

 

As an experienced assurance, risk management and/or compliance professional you’ll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
