About the job

Job summary

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) is a public facing organisation and one of only 2 dedicated display units in the Royal Air Force. Our mission is to maintain the priceless artefacts of our national heritage in an airworthy condition in order to commemorate those who have fallen in the service of this country. The BBMF also serves to promote the modern-day Air Force and to inspire future generations. The BBMF undertakes around 900 events throughout the summer. As a result, many of its personnel are deployed around the country on a daily basis during the display season, attending air shows and supporting the aircraft and aircrew in order to undertake core business. Outside the display season, the BBMF pivots to a Depth maintenance regime, at which time our aircraft are stripped down for preventative maintenance.  As the BBMF Tool Control System Operative, the incumbent will be employed as a permanent point of contact for all air safety critical procedures for the distribution and control of tools required to maintain our historic aircraft.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
