Job summary

To deliver RBG Kew’s mission by being responsible for the upkeep and advancement of essential Azure and Office 365 cloud services as well as IT systems. These systems are the backbone of our IT services, catering to both internal and external users. Your primary focus will be on system design, installations, and system builds. You will play a key role in aiding the IT team in the seamless delivery, monitoring, and management of our daily production environments. This includes enhancing system security, configurations, and maintenance, and ensuring that documentation and diagrams are kept up to date.

Job description

Accountabilities:

Ensure the stability and security of Azure cloud and Office 365, addressing hardware and software issues, while also fostering innovation in system management.

Proactively report non-functional system incidents, maintain open communication with affected users and stakeholders, and diligently document requirements.

Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of new solutions to boost productivity and reliability, integrating innovative proof-of-concepts into everyday operations.

Share your expertise with the broader IT team, facilitating training, fostering innovation, and meticulously documenting systems and services within your area of responsibility.

Collaborate with third-party stakeholders to drive improvements, embrace change, and enhance service delivery while actively promoting innovative approaches.

Person specification

Considerable working experience with Azure Cloud environment, documenting, managing and maintaining environments and resources

Considerable working experience with Office 365, documenting, managing and maintaining

Considerable working experience with Microsoft Active Directory

Demonstrable experience in fault and performance debugging, diagnostics and remediation

Experience with PowerShell scripting language Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to collate and present information clearly and succinctly.
