We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Engineer to work with the Digital Workplace team in London. The role involves managing and supporting infrastructure for technologies like M365 Teams Room, Crestron Meeting Room Devices, digital signage, and live events.

As an Audio-Visual Technician, the position is crucial for providing outstanding audio-visual services for office meetings and events, including internal and external functions and emphasising the importance of technical expertise in enhancing operational efficiency and communication. This role requires proficiency in connecting to and supporting external event and conferencing platforms, including Zoom, WebEx, and MS Teams, ensuring seamless integration for our events.

Your responsibilities include conducting pre-event checks, adjusting equipment as necessary for functions and establishing procedures for the ongoing maintenance, testing, and inspection of all audio-visual equipment.

This position also includes project management responsibilities in collaboration with our enterprise vendor, aiming to enhance and expand our audio-visual capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to support and enhance our audio-visual communications.

The role demands active assistance and support for IT Infrastructure and enterprise vendors in relation to audiovisual infrastructure projects, including both maintenance and support-related issues. Additionally, creating and maintaining technical documentation and project status dashboards is a crucial part of this position.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Experience in managing and supporting audiovisual and digital signage solutions, as well as a solid understanding of Microsoft Teams and associated technologies, will be critical for success in this role.

Job description

An exciting opportunity to work as part of our Digital Workplace team in our London Office, you will additionally work closely with the EUC Teams members in Cardiff & Glasgow.

Some of our major technology and services are M365 Teams Room, Crestron Meeting Room Devices, digital signage, live broadcast and events,. This position is responsible for managing and supporting the infrastructure, as well as deliver on new builds/projects of our various technology. The   Audio-Visual Technician plays a key role in delivering exceptional audio-visual services the office, meetings, internal and external events.

Key Outputs and Deliverables

  • Responsible for planning, deploying, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting of Internal Digital Signage Solutions, Personal and shared space devices, including Teams Rooms (Creston & Polycom) and Microsoft Surface Hubs
  • The managing and monitoring of MS Teams meetings, and certified devices by using Microsoft Teams admin center, the Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management portal and Crestron’s XIO endpoints management tool.
  • Participate in vulnerability management, risk remediation and migrations of infrastructure and endpoints
  • Administer and support technologies and products built and managed through Microsoft (Exchange, Teams, Intune), Crestron XiO, Poly Lens and other SaaS based products.
  • Assist and support IT Infrastructure and our enterprise vendors for audiovisual infrastructure projects or for maintenance and support related issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and project status dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up, and maintain audio and visual equipment, including speakers, microphones, and other equipment as needed.
  • Offer support in connecting to external event and conferencing platforms such as Zoom, WebEx and MS Teams
  • Perform all necessary pre-event checks and changes of equipment in Town Halls and Board Room spaces
  • Delivery, maintain and create the procedures for the ongoing maintenance, testing and inspection of all audio-visual equipment
  • Working closely with the IT team to diagnose and resolve faults
  • Liaise closely with our Internal & Communicate Teams, proving advice and expertise when it comes to MS Teams
  • Manage and maintain current audio-visual infrastructure design and builds. This includes conference and collaboration platform/endpoints on MS Teams, MTR, Surface Hub, Poly, Crestron endpoints and management tools.
  • In collaboration with our enterprise vendor, provide project management support for new builds, technology refresh and decommission.
  • Due to the nature of this role you will be expected to be in the office 4 days in the office.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of supporting Teams Rooms Devices and Microsoft Surface Hubs (LEAD)
  • Strong Experience of of Microsoft Teams admin center and/or Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management portal (LEAD)
  • Understanding of DCHP, DNS and Networking Setting  for Devices
  • Experience of AV Infrastructure (Crestron XiO, Poly Lens or similar)
  • Strong Experience of AV Solutions Microsoft (Exchange, Teams, Intune)

Desirable Criteria

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
