Job Summary

The role is within the Energy Team and responsible for the delivery of one of CCS’ largest commercial frameworks, providing gas and electricity products and services to public sector customers. 

Our commercial agreements deliver best value solutions and offer a range of purchasing strategies to meet the requirements of our customers. Responsibilities in the role include monitoring supplier performance, strong stakeholder engagement to deliver improvements in service and implementing initiatives to support growth and to maximise value for public sector stakeholders.

Job description

Team Summary
The CAS role falls within the supplier management team, primarily responsible for the delivery of gas and electricity agreements.

The team is highly experienced and enjoys a variety of interactions with other teams within the Energy space including specialist customer service, trading and risk teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • End to end management of commercial agreements.

  • Management and monitoring of supplier performance against relevant Key Performance Indicators.

  • Creating supplier action plans, identification of cost reduction and value added services opportunities; and risk management.

  • Developing relationships and collaborating with customers and colleagues to ensure the delivery of an exceptional service.

  • Collating, reviewing and critically analysing data to support the effective management of commercial agreements to ensure compliance with all policies and regulations and identify emerging risks / issues and opportunities for growth.

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver growth, attract new customers, drive customer retention and provide enhanced value for money.

  • Producing marketing materials - for example, case studies, newsletters, presentations and Webinars.

  • Supporting the development and implementation of strategies aligned to support the ongoing growth of the framework.

  • Developing all necessary documentation in readiness to go to market for new/renewed commercial agreements to required quality and on time. This may include PINs, OJEU notices, specifications and pricing models.

  • Following processes and procedures to deliver robust supplier relationship and performance management. Providing recommendations for improvements in processes and implementing solutions to the benefit of the category.

Person specification

Essential Criteria (To be assessed at application stage):

  • Highly competent managing commercial agreements and supplier performance.

  • An ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships within a commercial environment.

  • A high degree of expertise in the collation, management, analysis and presentation of information/data.

  • Proven ability to prioritise workload and work at a pace to meet deadlines. Well organised, able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Proactive approach to developing solutions in order to deliver operational and commercial efficiencies and more effective ways of working.
