Job summary

The Field Army IX Programme is an award-winning major business change programme which is delivering business improvements and efficiencies across the Army. Working closely with the Programme Visionary (PV), the Change Manger (CM) is responsible for leading the implementation of the change. In this role the CM will develop and implement business change plans, working closely with, advising and supporting business leaders.  They will be responsible for assessing whether the change had been landed and adjusting the plan where success has not been achieved.  They will be responsible for developing the plan to transfer the new capabilities to BAU.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

In this role the CM will develop and implement business change plans, working closely with, advising and supporting business leaders.  They will be responsible for assessing whether the ch

•    Chair the Change Management Board.

•    Gather, develop and document process maps and requirements, ensuring that requirements are clearly understood, and necessary information is available to the agile development team.

•    Ensure all change resources are fully engaged and deployed in support of change.

•    Communicate the change plan verbally and in writing.

•    Conduct stakeholder analysis and engagement, ensuring that the needs of stakeholder are reflected in the change plan.

•    Identify risk, issues and opportunity to the Programme Visionary and the Programme Manager.

•    Be responsive and adapt change plans where levels of adoption and proficiency are not as expected.

•    Work with Business Leaders to develop, implement and embed the change plan activities.

 

Person specification

Previous experience working within the Programme Management field is essential. We are looking for a motivated individual, who loves to handle their own workload and who enjoys working flexibly with strong interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills are required to interact and mediate across all ranks within the Army especially at a senior level.

You will have an eye for detail, able to identify ways to streamline business process and the ability to remain independent and balanced under outside pressures.   

Strong IT skills are important, confident in the use of Office 365 with a willingness to learn new systems.
