Job summary

Here at the Army Regional Health Team (ROHT) we are inclusive and dedicated, working to provide excellent care to our entitled personnel!

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Administrative Officer to join our team working within Aldershot Centre for Health.

Please note this post will be 37 hours a week and requests to work part time will be considered, taking into account business needs. The salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.

Strategic Command Transformation

Strategic Command is going through a significant transformation programme which aims to improve the way the Command conducts its business and delivers for Defence and the nation. As a consequence of this, all posts within Strategic Command Headquarters and in time the wider organisation, are/will be subject to review and potential changes as we continuously improve across the period of the transformation programme. Job description

The successful candidate will be assisting in the delivery of comprehensive administrative support required to sustain the efficient and effective delivery of the Occupational Health (OH) service to Service Personnel. This will be provided through clinical administration services in support of the Regional Occupational Health Team including, Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP) administration. 


Person specification

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Business Manager with the day to day running of Occupational 
    Health (OH) business and administrative services to ensure that the 
    department works efficiently and is responsive to the needs of key 
    stakeholders. 
  • Supporting the delivery and management of effective clinical administration to 
    the Occupational Health team to maximise efficient use of resources 
    including clinician time, accommodation and scheduling for clinical output. 
  • Participating in general reception duties including patient administration, 
    telephone enquiries, filing, mail distribution and booking appointments on 
    Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP).
